Discovery Pro sports a feature-packed filter section, offering no less than a dozen types (including the usual low- and high-pass varieties in both 12 and 24dB incarnations). There's also a formant filter and four new Moog-style filters named X and Y (each comes in 12 and 24dB varieties)[^2^]. The filter can be modulated by the envelope, LFO, velocity, keyboard tracking, and modulation wheel. You can also adjust the filter drive, resonance, and key follow parameters.

The Wave oscillator is where you can load your own samples or use the included ones. You can import WAV or SF2 files, or use the built-in PADSynth re-synthesis algorithm to create new sounds from scratch. The Wave oscillator has its own volume, pan, tune, and fine controls, as well as a loop mode and a reverse button. You can also apply a filter to the Wave oscillator, choosing from low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, or notch types[^1^].

Discovery Pro has four layers that can be used to create complex sounds. Each layer has its own set of oscillators, filters, envelopes, LFOs, effects, and arpeggiator. You can edit each layer individually or globally, and you can also mute or solo each layer. You can also assign different MIDI channels to each layer, or use the key split function to play different layers on different parts of the keyboard[^1^].

One of the most impressive features of Discovery Pro is the Graphic Modulation Envelope (GME), which is located at the bottom-right of the display. The GME is a powerful tool that lets you draw your own modulation curves using up to 32 points. You can use the GME to modulate any parameter that has a modulation amount knob next to it. For example, you can use it to modulate the filter cutoff, pitch, volume, pan, pulse width, FM amount, ring modulation amount, and more[^1^]. The GME can be synced to the host tempo or run in free mode. You can also adjust the attack time, decay time, sustain level, release time, loop mode, and trigger mode of the GME. 061ffe29dd
